Professional Abatement Services personnel have experience in remediating mold in homes, apartment complexes, offices
and institutional settings (including hospitals and schools). PAS is a member of the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA) and
invests in on-going educational opportunities to stay abreast of developments in this field. A sampling of projects includes:
A newly constructed shopping strip suffered a water intrusion episode and suffered mold growth as a result in several units. PAS
was contracted to conduct a thorough decontamination of the interior of each unit. In addition, PAS placed 2000 CFM microtraps in
each unit in order to scrub the air during the cleaning process. PAS passed a visual inspection and all post remediation air sampling the
first go round, completing the project on schedule so the units could be placed for rental.
Hospital staff noticed discoloring of wallpaper along a corridor. Further investigation revealed mold growth to be occurring. PAS
was called upon to remove the wallpaper and assess the underlying sheet rock for signs of mold growth. It was determined that the
sheetrock needed to be removed. The wall cavity was then cleaned and the area left ready for drywall and painting by hospital facility
personnel.
A general contractor in the process of renovating a large historic home noticed mold growth on ceiling joists. PAS was called upon
to remove the mold. Experienced PAS personnel were dispatched to the site and performed a thorough cleaning. PAS' quick respons
e to this client minimized interruption to the on-going construction activity.
Windows installed in several executives' offices had been improperly flashed, allowing water intrusion to occur. As a result, the sheetrock
below the windows began to show discoloration and investigation revealed mold growth. PAS was called upon to remove the sheetrock in
mini-containments equipped with our smaller microtraps. PAS removed the necessary sheetrock, cleaned the wall cavity and left the area
suitable for drywall and painting by plant maintenance staff.
Several apartment units had suffered water intrusion and subsequent mold growth, and PAS was contracted to conduct a thorough cleaning
and decontamination. PAS removed and disposed of items that could not be cleaned nor salvaged, making a list of items for the apartment
dwellers and complex management. PAS then removed furnishings that could be cleaned, performed the cleaning and placed them into on-site
storage until they were ready to be moved into new premises.
These are only a small representation of the projects completed by PAS. Should you have a project for which you need an experienced, qualified
